The more you use your muscles, the better prepared you are against diseases. Why is that and how can it be explained?
Endurance training leads to your muscles becoming stronger, not thicker. Small new blood vessels are created that supply additional oxygen to the muscles. In this way, additional nutrients are converted into energy.
When muscles are in motion, they produce myokines, which are hormone-like messenger substances that have an anti-inflammatory effect and are involved in stimulating fat burning.
They also increase bone stability.
Keep this in mind in the future: the more you keep your muscles in motion, the less you have to fear all kinds of diseases.
Short breaks and interruptions
Work in rhythmic intervals with regular short breaks and interruptions. Use these to stand up and move around. For example, take a short walk during your lunch break to the restaurant or snack bar where you have your lunch. Take the stairs instead of the elevator.
But the most important thing: start moving more today!
