The air quality of the room in which you work plays an important role. This should not be underestimated!
Offices are closed spaces. Your colleagues and you consume the oxygen available in the air.
When exhaling, carbon dioxide (CO2) enters the room. If the carbon dioxide (CO2) in the air gets out of hand, you will get a headache, feel exhausted and worn out, or find it difficult to concentrate.
Your risk of getting sick also increases.
If there are printers, copiers, or other office equipment in the room, it gets even worse. On the one hand, these heat up the air. Furthermore, the use of toner can release harmful substances that not only cause discomfort but also damage health.
Therefore, it is so essential to regulate the air exchange in office rooms well.
In a closed room where people are present, the air should be completely renewed every two hours.
If your office does not have a central ventilation system, it is best to open all available
windows about every two hours. And long enough, namely between three and ten minutes depending on the outside temperature.
Pay attention to the CO2 level in your office.
This is a reliable measure of air quality. Set up a carbon dioxide measuring device in the office (also known as a CO2 meter), which you can purchase from specialist retailers.
